1. No Cold Air

Unfortunately, many people go through the entire winter without even thinking about whether or not their HVAC can actually produce cold air. Then the first summer heat wave hits and they’re on the phone trying to get an emergency repair. 2. Water Around the System
If you’re seeing water starting to pool around either the inside or outside unit, you’re going to want to get someone out to check your HVAC immediately. This is a sign that your HVAC is in need of immediate maintenance, but you still may have time to fix the unit before it becomes unfixable. Remember, you want to catch the problems before they become situations where you have to replace the entire unit, which is the difference between a few hundred dollar repair and a few thousand dollar repair. The difference is going to be massive when it comes to your bank account, so you need to make sure that you’re not getting any water pooling around your unit it. Once you notice it, it’s time to call the plumber. It’s a sign that you may have a refrigerant leak, which could be disastrous for the longevity of the unit. In that case, you’re going to need to hire a refrigerant leak detection person.
3. Different Temperatures in Different Rooms
If you have an HVAC unit that runs through several rooms in your home, you might find that you’re experiencing different temperatures depending on which room you’re in. This could be a sign of a less serious problem such as a broken thermostat, or it could be a sign that your unit is about to die.
